        This study was conducted at Open-vegetable Project of Quezon National Agricultural School, SilangangMalicboy, Pagbilao, Quezon from December 2015 to March 2016 to determine the growth and yield performance of broccoli as influenced by different levels of vermicompost. Five treatments were considered: VC1 – control (no vermicompost), VC2 – 1 ton/ha, VC3 – 3 tons/ha, VC4 – 5 tons/ha and VC5 5 tons/ha respectively.

            The study used Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four replications. It aimed to evaluate the effect of varying levels of vermicompost on the growth and yield performance of broccoli and determine on the appropriate levels of vermicompost applicable for broccoli and to determine the occurrence of pest and diseases for carrots.

            The use of varying levels of vermicompost on the treatment did not significantly affect the growth and yield of broccoli in terms of plant height increment, number of leaves, diameter of the curd and weight of the curd during harvest.Occurrence of pests specifically during the emergence of leaves was observed.
