The study was conducted on the experimental area of Quezon National Agricultural School at Silangan Malicboy, Pagbilao, Quezon from January to April 2014 to determine the effect of corn (UPCA Sweet Syn 1) on the growth and yield when treated with Bio-fertilizer before planting. The main objective is to determine the effectiveness of Bio-N fertilizer on corn at Pagbilaocondition, another is to showcase to the farmers the new technology on the application of organic based fertilizer.

The study used Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) in the experiment with three treatments namely: T1 (control); T2 (100 grams per 3 kgs of seeds) and T3 (200 grams per 3 kgs of seeds). Parameters on plant height and yield of corn were obtained in the experiment.

Plant height of corn under treatment 2 shows significant results among the treatment means at 5% level. Treatment 3 of shows significant results when the Bio-N fertilizer was applied at a rate 200  grams per 3 kgs seeds with a yield of 7.3 t/ha. Application of Bio-N to the seeds prior to transplanting produces higher yield at 200 grams per 3 kgs when tested at Pagbilao condition.
