To participate in safeguarding and promoting sustainable use of coastal marine resources by presenting ways on how QNAS can take part in implementing the various programs on oceans, the QNAS QNAS Signs MOA with LGU-Calauag QNAS Conducts Coastal Clean-up faculty and staff conducted a whole day coastal clean up on September 4, 2015 at Brgy. Balubad, Atimonan, Quezon.

The sea shore is located near “De Gracia Resort” where the artificial reef project of the Rotary Club of Atimonan, a 30-feet structure that was transported by constructing a raft made of collected Styrofoam materials floating at the sea is one of the town’s tourist destinations. The underwater structure designed like the Rotary logo is considered to be the biggest in the world, and is now home to the different corals and species of fish.

After a short dialog with AVSS Marasigan, the faculty and staff proceeded with picking up trash by the shore choosing only those that are non-biodegradable like plastic, wrappers and leaving the biodegradable ones like coconut husks. They were able to collect several sacks of rubbish.
